Wavelab 5 Windows 7 Fix. I’ve had some strange issues with my PC since building it It’s had an odd sound problem. The easiest way for users of Windows 7. Make sure that 'WaveLab Lite.exe' is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again. Windows could not start because WaveLab Lite.exe file is missing or corrupt. Runtime Error!

I had a 15 hour struggle in the studio recently. All my Cubase 7 (64 Bit) projects refused to load without crashing. Even projects that I was working on the very day before.I re-installed, searched, cleaned, refreshed preferences, you name it, I tried it15 hours later I was still unable to load any of my projects without Cubase disappearing into the dark depths where all dead project go.The next morning I woke up and with a fresh head, found myself a cure within 30 minutes (based on the research I had done the day before). So I thought this would be worth sharing, as during my search I found many folks with similar trouble and no solution. The first step was realising that if I removed the Waves plugins from my system the problem went away. Waves Logo Symptoms:.
Windows 64 Bit System. 64 Bit DAW Host. Usually Windows 8 but can be Windows 7 – Must be 64 Bit. Cubase crashes when loading a project that contains ANY Waves plugins. Cubase crashes when inserting ANY Waves plugin into a fresh project. I am using Cubase here but it could be any 64 Bit DAW host applicationI found a post related to a different issue that suggested renaming the WaveShell-VST3 9.2x64 file. This file is found here and this put me on the right path:C:Program FilesCommon FilesVST3I renamed the file to WaveShell-VST3 9.2x64BLAH.vst3 Wow!
Success! All my projects loaded again But it is not over yet.Waveshell crashes again and now the projects will not load again even with the renamed file, unless it was renamed yet again. Renaming it back to the original WaveShell-VST3 9.2x64.vst3 still causes crashes What is going on?I had already done a clean install of all related applications, Waves, Cubase etc., And also cleaned registry of everything that mentioned Waves before re-installingFinally I decided to search the registry for WaveShell-VST3 Low and behold the solution – A very odd registry key gets added if the Waveshell crashes. After which, any subsequent load of the Waveshell causes the host (Cubase) to crash.
Can;t open or close Wave files in Wavelab 4.0 Win7Help!!! This girl needs help bad.
I just upgraded my OS to Win 7 Ultimate few weeks back because XP OS is going away end of life Microsoft says. So A friend gave me a copy of Win7 Ultimate that he was not using anymore because he upgraded to Win 8. So I was able to install and upgrade my Dell XPS400 to Win 7 Ultimate.
The computer is quite capable to run Win 7. So I installed a fresh new 1TB hard drive and did all the installs and drivers install, everything. It is running good. I then reinstalled my Wavelab 4.0 and now I can not open or save wave files. The program just shuts down. I can, 'open with program' to get a wave file into WL and them do all the edit and plugins and so on. But I can not save it. Program shuts down. When I am in WL and try to open wave folder it shuts down. This seems to be the only problem with WL 4.0
I use WL a lot just for my personal use and I need to get it working bad.
I had original purchased WL 3.0 and then purchased the 4.0 upgrade at the time. And it has worked flawless for many years. For my only personal use I did not need to spend hundreds on a new current version of WL, 4.0 works just fine as it is. And WL is official copies and not a cracked version, I paid lot of $ back then.
Background info
I have tried to run as administrator and run in compatibility XP mode, same things happen. I have installed Virtual XP in Win 7 and it seems to run but Virtual XP don't have all the OS parts to it. It only runs in 16 color and I get error that display will not have millions of colors. I would like to run WL in regular Win 7.
